Unit report
The unit in 2025-26
Twenty-five cadets were enrolled after a selection process based on interest, physical fitness and dedication. Enrolment opened on 14 November 2025.
Throughout the year the cadets assisted in maintaining discipline during school assemblies, celebrations, examinations and school functions, developing leadership, teamwork and a sense of responsibility along the way.
Cadet Hrithika secured first prize in the Quiz competition and was commended for her anchoring at the NCC camp. Cadet Inas Fathima took second place in the same competition.

Training programmes, camps and awareness activities organised under the NCC through the year.
Capping ceremony
The unit was formally inaugurated at a Capping Ceremony conducted by the Commanding Officer and the Administrative Officer of the 9th Kerala Battalion NCC, Kottarakkara.
Road safety awareness
Cadets took part in a Road Safety Awareness Programme organised by the Motor Vehicles Department, Punalur, coordinating traffic awareness activities and spreading road safety rules among the public.
Firing practice and camp
Cadets attended firing practice sessions and a firing camp conducted at Mar Thoma School, which gave them practical exposure and improved their confidence and discipline.
NCC camps
Two camps at SNIT and BRM School covered drill training, physical fitness, leadership sessions, cultural programmes and teamwork exercises.
Duty within the school
Through the year, cadets assisted in maintaining discipline at school assemblies, celebrations, examinations and school functions.
Annual training
The school hosted the Annual NCC training of 9 B NCC from 11 July 2025.

Joining the NCC
Cadets are selected on interest, physical fitness and dedication. The school office announces enrolment each year, and selection is open to students of the senior classes.
